The Peace doesn't need another sales rep with a quota. It needs honest reads, sharp tools, and someone who'll tell you when you don't need to buy something.

Why we started

There's a real gap between pure independent advisors (good advice, no product access) and big retail (full product access, advice that's hard to trust). Landsense is built to sit in the middle: stocking the specialty inputs growers actually need, while being transparent about the conflict and refusing to oversell.

We're not big-iron retail. We're not a pure consulting practice. We're the option that exists when neither of those fits.

Where we're from

Both of us are based in the Peace and farm in or alongside the operations we work with. That matters — the Peace has its own soils, its own rotations, its own season length, and its own problems. National advice and provincial averages only get you so far. We build tools and guides specifically for what the Peace deals with.

What we do — and what we don't

We coordinate testing through Hitek Analytics — a CALA-accredited, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certified agricultural laboratory. When test results inform a recommendation, they're backed by national accreditation standards, not a field kit.

We don't carry a full input line. We don't book unprofitable rates to gain market share. We won't move product we wouldn't use ourselves. And we'll tell you when a soil-applied program does the job — even when a foliar product would put margin in our pocket.

Two people. One business.

We've kept names off this page intentionally for now while we finalize incorporation and partnership details. Full team profiles will land here closer to launch.

Crop support & field operations

Soil science & technical lead

Technical lead

M.Sc. Soil Science

Soil scientist with a master's degree, partner on the technical and data side. Reviews tool data, validates agronomic guidance, and grounds our recommendations in the science.

A few principles we won't bend on.

Honest over profitable
If the soil-applied program is doing the job, we'll say so. If your soil test doesn't justify the foliar, we'll tell you. We make less money in the short term, and we'd rather keep the relationship.
Transparent about conflict
We retail specialty inputs through Cropland Solutions — an Alberta-based supplier. That's a conflict of interest with pure advice. We don't pretend it isn't — we just commit to never recommending something a tissue or soil test doesn't support.
Built for the Peace
Our tools, our guides, our advice all reference Peace region conditions specifically — grey-wooded ridge soils, alkaline river bottoms, short-season pulse rotations. Not provincial averages.
Free tools stay free
The resource library never goes behind an email gate, a sign-up, or a sales pitch. They're our way of returning value to the region — whether you ever become a client or not.

Want to know more? Just ask.

We're happy to answer questions, walk through one of the tools, or have a conversation about your operation. No commitment, no sales pitch.
